This is Tamiya 1/32 Mini 4WD JR The Grasshopper VS Chassis Kit. The Grasshopper, which first made its debut as a 1/10 scale R/C kit in 1984, now appears as The Grasshopper Jr. in the Racing Mini 4WD Series on the VZ chassis to celebrate the 40th anniversary. Carried over from the 1/10 R/C kit, this kit has The Grasshopper’s slim form inspired by a 1-seater buggy and features a color scheme with green and red lines on a white base.
The VZ chassis is a compact and lightweight design that features reinforced designs for bumper, rear stay base and more ensuring that it has the durability and flexibility to withstand racing accidents. It is also a rather adaptable unit that lets its owner make numerous updates to the setup. Low friction 620 plastic bearings are molded in POM and maximize drive efficiency, while the chassis and A parts are molded in ABS. This chassis features a gear ratio of 3.5:1.
• The compact, lightweight VZ chassis and A parts are molded in black ABS plastic.
• The Grasshopper's slim form is scaled down into a Mini 4WD body molded in white ABS plastic.
• White polypropylene wheels are paired with large-diameter slick black tires.
• Low-friction POM 620 plastic bearings (black) give smooth rotation.
• Includes a Type 130 motor. The model features a 4.2:1 gear ratio.
• Two AA batteries are required (sold separately).
• A wide range of Grade-Up Parts is available separately to customize your car.
